All gas bottle storage boxes are made with safety in mind, we designed it along side the local fire service. There are cut outs at the the bottom of the back panel and the base of the door, to allow any gas leaks to escape. Gas is heavier than air so it will always fall to the floor.
The gap at the top of the door allows the caravan owner to swap over the empty bottle to the full one without opening the box. It also allows fire men access to cut the pipes and pull the bottles out of the way in case of a fire.
The cut out in the top of the back panel is to allow your gas gauge and pipes to enter the box with no need to drill or cut any holes.
